A Heat Advisory is in effect for parts of North Texas, including the DFW Metroplex, until 9 p.m. Wednesday.

For the first time this work week, there is no Excessive Heat Warning for the next day. Because of some additional cloud cover and a slight reduction in dewpoints, there is a Heat Advisory in place Friday.
