Najahe Sherman

Najahe Sherman is an award-winning and Emmy-nominated news anchor for CBS News Miami. Najahe anchors CBS Miami News at Noon, the CBS News Miami 4 p.m. QuickCast, and CBS News Miami evening news at 5:30 p.m. Beyond the anchor desk, she reports for various newscasts and platforms for the station.

Before joining CBS News Miami, Najahe made her mark as an anchor and host at BNC TV, a national news network reaching over 52 million households across the U.S. Her career has taken her on incredible journeys, including covering the historic 2024 presidential election in Washington D.C. and providing gripping reports after riding out Hurricane Ian-a Category 5 storm. Najahe returned to the hardest-hit areas a year later to highlight the inspiring resilience of Floridians as they rebuilt their lives. She's also been a strong voice for criminal justice reform, breaking the story of a groundbreaking facility set to open in Miami-Dade County that aims to assist individuals navigating the system, stemming from a 2007 investigation into the Miami-Dade Jail.

Najahe's journey in journalism includes news anchor and reporter roles in Nashville, Tennessee, Louisiana and Missouri. She holds a degree from the William Allen White School of Journalism & Mass Communications at the University of Kansas.

Beyond her career, Najahe is deeply committed to community service. She has served as an emcee and host for notable organizations in Miami, including Girls Inc. of Greater Miami, the ALS Association of South Florida, and the OIC of South Florida-focused on workforce training and job development. Her outreach efforts have helped raise over half a million dollars for non-profits in North Alabama, including the Women's Economic Development Council. Najahe also served as a youth mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters and volunteered at Boys and Girls Clubs in Louisiana.

Najahe was recently featured on the cover of South Florida's FLLFW magazine and was featured in Nashville Lifestyles Magazine. She's also a former NFL Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleader and held the title of Mrs. Louisiana America.

When she's not on-air or giving back to the community, Najahe loves to travel, practice yoga, and spend quality time with her family. She and her husband are proud parents of two children and two Yorkshire Terriers.
