Madeline Montgomery

Madeline Montgomery is a reporter for CBS News Atlanta, born and raised right here in the Peach State.

She has contributed to multiple Emmy wins for Atlanta News First through her live reporting on major events, including the Apalachee school shooting, a bus driver held hostage after a food court shooting, and the Atlanta Pride Parade.

Before returning home to Atlanta, Madeline reported in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she covered major hurricanes, invasive reptiles, and President Trump's visits to Mar-a-Lago. Her career has also taken her to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Abilene, Texas, where she anchored and reported. She also served as a satellite anchor for Savannah, Georgia.

Madeline holds a degree in journalism from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, with a minor in political science. She is a graduate of Parkview High School in Lilburn, Georgia. Her family still resides in Metro Atlanta, and she attends church in Tucker. Off-air, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and traveling around the world.
