Leondra Head

Leondra Head is a reporter at CBS News Atlanta and covers a wide range of news and topics in metro Atlanta.

She considers herself a true Georgia Peach, born and raised in metro Atlanta.

Before joining CBS Atlanta, Leondra was a reporter and anchor at WTKR in Norfolk, Virginia, for four years. While there, she heavily covered crime and crime solution stories in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Leondra worked on several notable stories including the Richneck Elementary School shooting and the Chesapeake Walmart mass shooting. Additionally, Leondra reported on impactful stories that celebrated coastal Virginia.

Prior to her time at WTKR, Leondra was a morning anchor at CBS19 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Before working in local news, Leondra was a booking producer at MSNBC where she booked guests to appear on the network.

Beyond the newsroom, Leondra is a tennis coach and loves playing tennis every week. She enjoys traveling and discovering new vibrant restaurants. She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).

Leondra is a proud alumni of Hampton University and interned at "Good Morning America" after graduating.

She currently resides in the Buckhead area of Atlanta and enjoys connecting with the community.
