Dayle Cedars

First Alert Meteorologist Dayle Cedars is a proud Coloradan. She grew up in Greenwood Village before moving to Parker for middle school and high school.

Yes, she lived on a dirt road and had horses and remembers when Target (the first store in town) was built during her senior year. After graduating from Ponderosa High School, Dayle headed South to the University of Texas at Austin where she graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism in Broadcast News. "Hook 'Em!"

Dayle kicked off her television career at 21 years old in Ardmore, Oklahoma working at the bureau for KXII-TV. A year later she moved to College Station, Texas where she worked as a reporter and anchor. Her time in Texas wasn't done yet. She moved to San Antonio, Texas where she worked for two years at KENS-TV before making her way home in 2003. Dayle worked at a competitor for 14 years. During that time, she transitioned from news to weather. Dayle went back to school, this time at Mississippi State, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Meteorology.

After taking time off to raise her amazing twin girls -- Ryann and Reece -- Dayle jumped at the opportunity to work at CBS Colorado with the amazing First Alert Weather Team. Dayle loves forecasting in Colorado as she knows how important the weather is for her viewers, who, like she, love all things Colorado -- from hiking, to skiing, to snowshoeing, to playing golf.

When she is not watching her Texas Longhorns, Dayle loves to cheer on the Denver Broncos. You can also find her enjoying a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Dayle prides herself on being involved in the community and giving back. She most recently has sat on the Executive Board for a Women's Guild with A Precious Child for the past 7 years.
