Severe storms and a tornado spawned by the remnants of Florence have killed at least one person near Richmond, Virginia. Another tornado touched down Monday just north of North Carolina. CBS News national correspondent Chip Reid reports.

Smith has strategically positioned ships, aircraft, boats and crews to respond after the storm.
