They were the largest in series of quakes to hit the U.S. territory in the last few days and came a day after a powerful one collapsed five houses.
The most recent quake occurred eight miles south of Guayanilla at a shallow depth of four miles and was felt in the capital of San Juan and elsewhere in Puerto Rico, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Police said one person was shot at the entrance of the home, another in the living room and two in the bedroom.
Jaime Perelló entered his plea as part of an agreement with the government following an investigation by Puerto Rico's Special Independent Prosecutor Panel.
Puerto Rican defense attorney Jose Perez said Anello doesn't want to plead guilty and would rather clear his name at trial.
