How the Israel-Hamas war could expand

Israel has mobilized more than 300,000 reservists as it prepares for a potential ground offensive in Gaza. Israeli and Hamas officials have said at least 2,100 people have been killed on both sides since Saturday's initial attack. Israel has also exchanged fire with Lebanon and Syria. Israeli emergency responders with years of experience doing the grim work of recovering bodies broke down in tears Wednesday as they told CBS News what they'd witnessed in the aftermath of Hamas' brutal terror attack on Israel. The depth of the horror unleashed Saturday by Hamas on Israeli communities near the border with the Gaza Strip was still emerging five days later. What a "complete siege" on Gaza could mean

Israel has ordered a "complete siege" on Gaza following a major attack by Hamas over the weekend. The death toll on both sides has soared over 1,200, with at least nine Americans among the dead. Khaled Elgindy is a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute and the director for the center's program on Palestine and Palestinian-Israeli affairs. He joined CBS News to discuss what he expects will happen in Gaza now and the potential role Iran played in Hamas' attack.
