Supreme Court hears bump stock ban arguments

The Supreme Court is hearing arguments Wednesday on the Trump-era ban on bump stocks that a Texas gun store owner says is unlawful. Judges initially ruled in the gun store owner's favor, but the Biden administration challenged the ruling. The ban was put in place after a gunman used rifles equipped with bump stocks to carry out a deadly mass shooting at a Las Vegas music festival in 2017. CBS News chief legal correspondent Jan Crawford has more.

Breaking down the Michigan primaries

Former President Donald Trump continued his run to the GOP presidential nomination Tuesday night, beating former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley by over 40 points with Haley garnering around 26% of the vote. On the Democratic side, President Biden won easily, but a significant block voted "uncommitted" in protest of the president's stance on the war in Gaza. CBS News' executive director of elections and surveys Anthony Salvanto has more.

Schumer: "Intense" meeting at White House

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said the meeting at the White House between President Biden and other congressional leaders was one of the most intense he has ever attended. Schumer told reporters that conversations over the looming government shutdown were productive, but also said House Speaker Mike Johnson pushed back on aid for Ukraine until more is done to secure the U.S.-Mexico border.
