With negotiations in Cairo set to begin on Monday between Israel and Hamas, Secretary of State Marco Rubio told "Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan" that Hamas' release of hostages is the "most emergent and immediate phase" of the proposed peace plan. "That has to happen very quickly — that cannot drag on," he added.
Negotiators between Hamas and Israel will begin meetings in Cairo on Monday for the release of the remaining 20 hostages and a prisoner swap. There is a lot of pressure on both sides to get a deal done, and special envoy Steve Wiktoff and Jared Kushner will be there to represent the U.S. Debora Patta reports from Israel.
