President Biden visited Florida and Georgia on Thursday as he surveyed the devastation from Hurricane Helene, which has killed more than 200 people. FEMA has more than 1,500 people on the ground in the Southeast, and Mr. Biden has deployed more than 1,000 soldiers to assist with search and recovery efforts. Mr. Biden stressed there are no Democrats and Republicans in situations like this and promised to be there until things are restored. The president also spoke of how he ordered resources to be put in place before Helene's landfall and vowed to help the Southeast get back on its feet.
