22nd Annual Broker of the Year Awards (BOYA)

A charity event to benefit The Placer Breast Cancer Endowment was held on March 20, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento with Jack Gallagher as Emcee. The Association of Commercial Real Estate's Charity Benefit/Broker of the Year Awards originated in 1992. These distinguished awards are presented annually to brokers who have achieved outstanding brokerage results in eight categories: Industrial, Office, Retail, Investments (non-Apartment), Land, Apartments, Broker of the Year and Rookie of the Year. The Broker of the Year Award will be presented to the outstanding Broker that year. In addition to recognizing industry high achievers, the Charity Benefit Broker of the Year Awards has given over $3,500,000 to local charities.

Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce Conference for Professional Development and Business Strategies

The second annual Conference for Professional Development and Business Strategies took place on March 22, 2014 at Embassy Suites. Thanks to everyone who attended the conference and a special thanks to our YEA Class of 2014, panelists, sponsors and Councilmember Allen Warren. The day included networking and a lot of valuable information for making progress on the road to success. Guests were treated to a very informative panel discussion on the importance of advocacy and utilizing media in small business, operating a non-profit, strategies for building and sustaining a successful business and career, the pitfalls in labor and employment and harnessing the power of your brand.
