Funds raised through Touch-a-Truck will benefit the Junior League of Sacramento (JLS) programs. JLS is an organization of women committed to promote volunteerism, develop the potential of women, and improve communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

Over seven hundred people attended the BBQ in the Vineyards event, the signature annual event of Region Business. Hosted by their Political Action Committee, the BBQ a the Sugarmill in Clarksburg, is an evening with elected officials from throughout the region, hundreds of leaders from the building industry, wine, beer, food, cigar bar, and a silent auction. This year's event was a celebration of the name change of the organization to Region Business - Sacramento's regional business group. The event also recognized a myriad of political victories the organization has experienced this year including: getting a one day permit program passed in five jurisdictions, chairing the steering committee of Mayor Kevin Johnson's Downtown Housing Initiative, getting a programmatic EIR passed in the City of Sacramento to streamline development, and the current efforts underway to exempt restaurants from the minimum wage discussion.
