2nd Amazon Fulfillment Center Planned For Tracy
TRACY (CBS13) – Amazon is planning to open a second fulfillment center in Tracy, bringing with it many more new jobs.
The online shopping company announced its plans on Wednesday. Amazon says it will also be opening a fulfillment center in Eastvale along with its second Tracy location.
Both new centers will be about one million square feet in size.
"We are very proud that Amazon has found a home and continues to grow here in Tracy," said Michael Maciel, Mayor of Tracy, in a release.
Tracy's first Amazon fulfillment center opened in 2013.
Amazon will have a total of nine fulfillment centers in California with the new locations.
The new Tracy and Eastvale centers are expected to create more than 1,500 new full-time jobs.
