Seneca Valley controlled the time of possession and bottled up Mt. Lebanon's WPIAL top passer Tyler Roth on the way to a 32-13 WPIAL Class AAAA quarterfinal victory at North Allegheny High School Friday night in Wexford. The Raiders Jordan Brown threw three touchdown passes, while teammate Forrest Barnes ran for 141 yards and a touchdown in the victory. The win sets up a re-match between North Allegheny and Seneca Valley in the WPIAL semi-finals next weekend.
The Jeannette Jayhawks returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown and never looked back Friday night in WPIAL Class AA playoff action at Fridley Field in Allison Park, PA. Jeannette built a 21-0 lead after just one quarter and rolled over the Bobcats 47-15. Shavonta Craft racked up 111 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns as the 4th-seeded Jayhawks move into the third round of the WPIAL football playoffs.
