Newsradio 1020 KDKA Editorial: Wasted Time and Energy in Harrisburg

Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane –

Has been fighting criminal charges.

Many people –

Including fellow Democrats like Governor Tom Wolf –

Think she should resign.

Kane has refused –

So the state Senate tried –

And failed –

To remove her from office –

Using an arcane provision in the state constitution.

If they really think she misbehaved in office –

Lawmakers should impeach her.

It wasn't until Wednesday –

That the state House finally voted –

To start the impeachment process.

It's another example of wasted time – and energy in Harrisburg.

Legislators should be working on the next fiscal year's budget now –

But Pennsylvania still doesn't have a budget –

For the current fiscal year.

It seems Harrisburg is the new headquarters –

For the Procrastinator's Club.

If it's important –

Pennsylvania's elected leaders will deal with it.

Eventually.

Maybe.
