A 15-year-old Upper Darby high school student was shot and killed after an argument broke out on a SEPTA bus in West Philadelphia.
Investigators said that a juvenile fired a single shot back into the bus, which hit a 15-year-old boy in the chest. The teen was brought to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was pronounced dead just after 1:15 p.m. No one else on the bus was injured, a SEPTA spokesperson said.
Philadelphia police are trying to identify five people they say assaulted a woman on a SEPTA bus in December.
SEPTA said all bus lines will now be indicated by number and all metro lines will be identified by letters.
