The residence belongs to the suspect's mother, who was home during the arrest. She was also taken into custody for questioning.
"It's hard to put into words what we're all experiencing," the president of Temple University's Police Association said.
The incident happened just off Temple's campus on the 1700 block of W. Montgomery Avenue on Saturday night.
