Chef Javier Ramirez, a culinary expert with more than 20 years of experience, takes joy in serving hundreds of students every day at Northeast Philadelphia's Tacony Academy Charter High School. Inside his cafeteria, everything is made fresh, as part of an effort to provide kids with healthy, hearty meals in a city experiencing high rates of food insecurity.
