Multi-vehicle crash in Tioga, six people injured, Philadelphia officials say

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Officials are investigating after a multi-vehicle crash leaves six people injured in Philadelphia's Tioga section Saturday morning. The crash took place around 2:30 a.m. on Broad and Ontario Streets.

Police say two vehicles were racing down Broad Street when one of them collided with an SUV. CBS3 was told that the SUV was not involved in the race.

The crash caused one person to be ejected from the SUV.

Medics took all six people to Temple Hospital where one person, the SUV driver, was placed in critical condition. The conditions of the five other people are unknown at this point.

This is an ongoing investigation.
