PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are looking for the driver in a deadly hit-and-run. According to officials, a car struck and killed a man near Whitaker and East Hunting Park Avenues in North Philadelphia around 3 a.m. Sunday.

Police say the victim was carried with the vehicle for approximately 500 feet before he landed on a sidewalk.

Police have not yet identified the type of vehicle.

Investigators did find a part they believe belongs to the vehicle lying near the victim.
