Police say a man was pushed onto the subway tracks in the Bronx less than 24 hours after the same thing happened to an 18-year-old girl in Queens.
The MTA said the gates will help prevent people from falling or being pushed onto the tracks.
It happened at around 10:30 a.m. at 75th Street and Eldert Avenue on the J line in Queens.
Police say the suspect was taken into custody a few blocks away.
