Trevor Plouffe got four hits and the Minnesota Twins stopped Jose Abreu, rallying past the Chicago White Sox 8-6 Saturday night to end a three-game skid. Abreu's hitting streak ended at 21 games, longest in the AL this season. He went 0 for 3 with two walks, one of them intentional.

A big hit from Sam Fuld and a quick recovery by Glen Perkins gave the Minnesota Twins a win that temporarily helped them forget about a season that's slipping away. Fuld hit a tiebreaking, two-run single off Javy Guerra in a three-run seventh inning, and the Twins defeated the Chicago White Sox 4-3 Sunday to avoid a four-game sweep.

Jose Abreu hit his major league-leading 30th homer and drove in three runs, leading the Chicago White Sox past the Minnesota Twins 9-5 on Friday night. Abreu had two hits and scored twice. The Cuban rookie has 77 RBIs — Detroit's Miguel Cabrera began the day leading the majors with 80.

Anthony Swarzak pitched five sharp innings in a fill-in start, Oswaldo Arcia homered and the Minnesota Twins beat the Cleveland Indians 3-1 Wednesday. Danny Santana scored after two of his three hits for the Twins, and five relievers totaled six strikeouts over four scoreless innings.
