Los Angeles pursuit suspect arrested after crashing into parked car

The Los Angeles Police Department was in pursuit of a man in the San Fernando Valley.

Officers said the driver is on probation for a shooting. Police began the chase near Van Nuys. 

The man continued to drive around until inexplicably veering into a parked car near the intersection of Calvert Street and Cedros Avenue. The collision clipped the older compact SUV on its side. 

Police quickly moved in and pulled the driver out of the vehicle. The watch commander for LAPD's Van Nuys Division said the suspect was conscious and breathing.
