The alleged DUI driver, a 24-year-old woman from San Bernardino, was arrested for alleged DUI after causing the crash that killed two adults and left two children hospitalized in critical condition.
Three children were among the four people killed, the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office said. The victims were 8, 9, 14, and 21 years old.
The fire broke out at a home in the 6800 block of Elmwood Road, firefighters said.
Both of the suspects ran into a Whittier neighborhood on foot near Parise Drive and Danbrook Drive.
