SWAT responds to possible hostage situation in north Denver

Personnel from the Adams County Sheriff's Office closed the 6500 block of Perry Street in north Denver Saturday morning while they conducted negotiations with someone inside a home there. 

ACSO's dispatch center received a call at 5:35 a.m. reporting a potential hostage situation at that location. 

ACSO's SWAT (Special Weapons And Tactics) team and Bomb Squad were on scene.

At 10:19 a.m., the situation had been resolved peacefully, ACSO stated in a social media post. One person, identified as a victim, was taken to a hospital while several other people were taken into custody for questioning.

This location of the scene is part of the Berkley neighborhood in north Denver, inside an unincorporated portion of Adams County.
