Students, alumni, family and supporters packed the auditorium Monday morning for a special prayer service honoring the newly elected pontiff.
Leaders joined Father Michael Pfleger of St. Sabina Church as he led the service.
Pope Leo XIV called for journalists to use words of peace, to reject war and to give a voice to the voiceless.
The prayer service begins at 9 a.m. at Leo Catholic High School, and the school is calling it a full blessing.
