Service was suspended about 4 a.m. between Polk and the Loop because of signal problems near the Ashland/Lake station.
Investigators have released surveillance images of the girl, and were asking for help identifying her.

The boys, ages 18 and 17, were riding the train when the older boy was approached by five male suspects, according to Chicago Police. They battered him and demanded his property.
Police spent about several hours negotiating with the man after he was seen running along the tracks on Lake Street between Aberdeen and Morgan streets around 2:30 a.m.
Police were called about 2:30 a.m. for reports of the man running back and forth on the tracks between Morgan and Carpenter, according to Chicago Police.
