About 9:25 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot to death in the West Side Austin neighborhood, police said. The man was standing in the parking lot of a gas station in the 300 block of South Cicero when another male walked up and shot him in the head, according to Chicago Police.
Police have closed off streets near the 3400 block of West 54th Street, and at least one nearby school was placed on lockdown, after police received a call of a male barricaded inside the home at 9:15 a.m.
