15-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot In Chicago Lawn

(STMW) -- A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Officers found the boy unresponsive on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds to the chest at 4:38 p.m. in the 6100 block of South Rockwell, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:18 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. His name was withheld pending notification of his family.
