The weather remains cool and quiet overnight, with temperatures cool through the 60s during the late evening and early morning hours. Sunday begins with lots of sunshine and temperatures in the low to mid-60s across the Baltimore metro.

A few spots north of Baltimore and over on the Eastern Shore will dip into the 50s before 8 a.m. Sunday.

Beautiful, warm weather continues across Maryland on Sunday

Sunday features just as much sunshine as Saturday. Temperatures trend warmer through the day-time hours. Sunday will feel just a bit warmer than Saturday. Temperatures peak in the mid-80s in most neighborhoods. It will remain slightly cooler along the bay and at the beaches.

The First Alert Forecast is dry Sunday, into Monday as hotter weather returns. Plan on temperatures peaking around 90° late Monday afternoon. Humidity also starts to increase Monday. With added mugginess, it'll feel a few degrees hotter than what the thermometer says.

The warming trend continues into Tuesday.

Changes are in Baltimore's forecast next week

You'll notice the humidity on Tuesday.

Steamy conditions stay with us through the second- half of next week. Wednesday includes the next chance of isolated, to scattered, thunderstorms as a front approaches Maryland. The chance of rain and thunder appears to peak Thursday, but will remain with us to some degree heading into next weekend.

There is a growing chance of tropical development

Conditions are becoming more favorable for tropical systems to form in the Atlantic. The National Hurricane Center is currently watching two areas of storminess; one just off the coast of Africa and another in the west-central Atlantic.

The wave near Africa appears to have a greater chance of becoming a Hurricane looking out over the next seven to ten days. Where it goes and exactly how organized it becomes are still uncertain. However, this is a reminder that we are getting closer to the peak of Hurricane Season and we expect activity to pick-up over the next few weeks.
