DC Woman Allegedly Throws Gasoline On Boyfriend, Lights His Md. House On Fire

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (WJZ) -- A Washington D.C. woman was arrested after police say she threw gasoline on her boyfriend and tried to set his house on fire.

Twenty nine-year-old Lisa Lashell Finley, of the 700 block of Delafield Street, was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree arson, and first-degree assault.

According to Baltimore County Police, officers were called to the 10800 block of Sherwood Hill Road just before 5 p.m. Sunday for a domestic incident.

While en route to the scene, officers were told the house was now on fire.

Officers met with the homeowner who told them his girlfriend threw gasoline on him and then held a lighter stating "she was going to kill him."

He fled his home and called police.

When he returned to his house, there was a fire inside his home. It was extinguished by a sprinkler system.

Finley turned herself in Monday. She is being held without bail in the Baltimore County Detention Center.
